FOR CORE FUSION

TUESDAYs at 5:15!

Core Fusion is an energizing, low impact class designed to target the core muscle groups. Utilizing dance and Pilates based movement, core fusion blends isometric holds with dynamic movement to raise your heart rate, improve your posture, and tone the entire body. Suitable for all fitness levels with options for modifications and room to progress as strength improves.

2026 NHSDA INDUCTION CEREMONY

A beautiful induction ceremony for our 2026 National Honor Society for Dance Arts was held on Saturday, June 6. Inducted into the Secondary chapter were Nora Li, Renee Owen and Meredith Simon. Inducted into the Junior chapter were Gracyn Anderson, Lacey Gress, Annabelle Melkonian, Cora Mickelsen and May Mills. In total, 18 dancers met the challenge of GPA (collectively 4.39!) AND dance training, advocacy and involvement. We enjoyed a candle lighting and pinning ceremony. Certificates were distributed followed by a celebratory dinner. We are SO proud of these amazing young people!

GWDC Has Expanded!

We’re excited to share that Greater Washington Dance Center has recently expanded with two brand-new studios! Our beautiful new large dance studio provides even more space for classes, rehearsals, and performances, while our dedicated Yoga, Pilates, and Fitness Studio creates the perfect environment for cross-training, strength, flexibility, and wellness. This expansion allows us to offer an even wider variety of programs for children, teens, and adults. Be sure to watch for exciting new classes and workshops coming soon—we can’t wait to welcome you into our new spaces!
